Maintenance-free sealed lead-acid batteries of the PowerSafe® SBS series are manufactured using the unique pure lead technology and offer performance unmatched by other batteries with highest energy density and compact design. PowerSafe SBS batteries are manufactured to the highest international standards and have proven their reliability in mobile and fixed line applications. The PowerSafe SBS is also successfully used in cable TV networks, safety supply systems, power plants and offshore applications.

The PowerSafe SBS series is also available as a front terminal type in addition to the classic pole arrangement. This pole arrangement is very widespread in modern telecom applications. Smaller in size than competitive products, all PowerSafe SBS batteries offer optimal space utilization through design flexibility. The front connection simplifies installation and maintenance. The advanced electrode technology of the PowerSafe SBS batteries allows them to operate at elevated temperatures and under extreme environmental conditions. EnerSys's special pure lead technology and unique manufacturing process makes PowerSafe SBS batteries the first choice when robust, reliable and durable products are required.

- Positive electrode: pure lead lattice, manufactured according to unique process
- Negative electrode: optimum adaptation to the positive electrode results in maximum efficiency of recombination
- Separation: microporous glass fleece guarantees highest absorption and stability
- Housing material: impact- and vibration-resistant plastic, flame retardant according to UL94 V-0 (J types in PPO, all others in ABS plastic)
- Electrolyte: high-quality diluted sulphuric acid, absorbed in AGM separator
- pole version: patented double-sealing pole bushing
- Cell valve: self-regulating safety valve, reliably prevents oxygen ingress
- Flame arrestor: built into each valve for increased safety
