The use of V-0 classified flame-retardant ABS plastic for the thick-walled housings and lids ensures high mechanical resistance and excellent safety properties. The concept of the PowerSafe V batteries is based on the proven gas recombination technology, which makes regular water refilling unnecessary because the generation of hydrogen and oxygen during the charging process is controlled. The oxygen produced at the positive plates is diffused to the negative plates by microporous separators and water is formed again by its binding via a series of chemical reactions within the cell. Each individual cell has its own safety valve, which allows the controlled release of gas when pressure builds up inside the cell. The use of gas recombination technology for lead-acid batteries has radically changed the concept of standby energy. This technology enables the user to use lead-acid batteries for a wide range of applications.
Design features:
- Positive and negative plates of lead-tin-calcium alloy
- Separators of low-resistance microporous glass fibre
- The electrolyte is absorbed in the fleece so that the leakage of acid in the event of damage is prevented
