The OPzS block batteries are closed stationary lead-acid batteries with liquid electrolyte (diluted sulphuric acid).

The power. bloc OPzS batteries with tube plates are ideally suited for use in areas with high charge and discharge loads such as solar applications or for long bridging times such as IT/Telecom and security lighting. The impact-resistant and highly transparent PP housing is extremely resistant to common cleaning agents and enables convenient electrolyte level control.
It is recommended to equip HOPPECKE OPzS block batteries with the HOPPECKE AquaGen® recombination system in order to reduce the number of water refill intervals to a minimum and thus significantly reduce maintenance costs. When the GroE batteries are operated with AquaGen recombinators, the water refill intervals are extended until they are maintenance-free.
